Last night I uploaded the newest version of SRNG. It introduced an item (a healing flower that doesn't actually work yet) into the drop table, as well as several gun pickups (which do work). These new guns should introduce some variety to the gameplay, though I have to tweak the probabilities, as the likelyhood of items dropping is WAAAAAAYYYY too high. Will keep you all updated, more Sunny to come!

So it's been awhile since my last post. I've mostly been working on a lot of things under the hood of the game, cleaning up bad code and all. Recently I've made two major changes:

  1. I've changed the level scaling to an experimental system where the exp to next level doesn't change, but instead the drop rate and value of exp goes down as you level.
  2. Coinciding with this I've also made it that enemies scale both in exp value and difficulty as time goes on.


I'm hoping this will create an interesting experience (and personally I find it easier to feel out when I need to start scaling things up, and when I need to pull back.)
