Questern Item Suggestions

Posted by LakenDaCoda - February 13th, 2024

I wanted to open up a really fun idea in Questern and create place where readers can suggest ideas for special items that our protagonist can acquire throughout his adventure. Any items used in the comic will be specially credited directly to the user who suggested it. Have fun and get creative!

Comments

Neighsayer: Lets you communicate complex ideas to horses by saying 'neigh' over and over. The thing that lets you understand their noises back is sold separately.

Cactus whistle: Inaudible to humans, but used to attract nearby cacti.

Expired Jerky: Surprisingly rare to find Jerky in a state like this. Smells horrid.

Hoarse Whisperer brand cough drops.
Works great at soothing sore throats in humans, causes blindness in horses.

iWannaRock: A smartphone-like device, except all it lets you do is send alerts to people who will deliver rocks to you. They give this away for free despite it being a high-tech miracle, but charge for the rocks.

Psychic Seekin' Beacon: An object that links to your mind and, once activated, you will always be able to figure out where exactly it is by just thinking about it for a second. Absolutely invaluable for navigating in a desert. Of course, if you're not paying attention and somebody moves it, well, you're sol.

uno cards and a body pillow

Eternal Spittoon: A spittoon that contains an infinite amount of filthy saliva.

Counterfeit Chip: Looks identical to a real gambling chip, makes it easy to pass off as the genuine article. If you're caught with it though, expect trouble.

bag of coins: they're counterfeit, so they're worthless; but they're perfect fer shootin'

Mirage Glasses: Makes whoever's wearing them see things they shouldn't. Be careful not to accidentally trip and crack them.
